The are not many items of Nantgarw porcelain from the Marquis of Anglesey service. Many items from the service were Swansea and Coalport, here we have a cruciform dish, one of four that would have been in this luxurious service and it bears the impressed Nantgarw mark. This service was sold by Sotheby's November 1963 and purchased by Major Guy Dawnay. This example of Nantgarw Porcelain superbly decorated in London and and is in excellent condition, there is some rubbing to the high points of the gilding as can be seen in the photos. A worthy example to enter any collection. Impressed Nantgarw C W Circa 1818-20 SOLD £ 1450.00
