A fine Nantgarw porcelain plate from the Brace service 8 1/2 inch decorated by J Bradley & co 47 Pall Mall London the well known London china retailers and decorators. A tureen cover and stand from this service is displayed at the National Museum of Wales, the service is again illustrated in W D John Nantgarw porcelain 31b where he wrongly attributes the decoration of a square dish from this service to Robins & Randall, in his book Nantgarw Porcelain Album in illustration 2 he shows a Nantgarw dish with a similar border to The Brace service, plates from this and a similar service done by the Swansea porcelain factory bear the inscription for "J Bradley and co 47 Pall Mall London". This plate with a moulded border with C scrolls, with floral sprays, birds, and fruit surrounding a superb full flower spray is In excellent condition Circa 1818-20 SOLD £
