A Fine Nantgarw Porcelain tea cup and saucer. This shape with a loop handle and simple foot rim is illustrated in Nantgarw Porcelain by Rowland Williams page 24. London decorated with sprays of summer flowers surrounded by a thick turquoise border with raised paste foliate gilding, sometimes called honey gilding, the inside of tea cup decorated with an elborate gilded border and a floral bouquet, the saucer decorated with similar decoration. A trio from this service is on display at the Plas Glyn-y-Weddw Mansion North Wales and is illustrated in a book produced by Fergus Gambon "Swansea & Nantgarw Porcelain" on page 56 A COFFEE CUP & SAUCER FROM A SIMILAR SERVICE SOLD AT BONHAMS SALE 3RD NOVEMBER 2016 FOR A TOTAL OF £2340 INC PREMIUM AND VAT.
