This Swansea Porcelain sauce tureen is illustrated in "The pottery and porcelain of Swansea & Nantgarw by E Morton Nance" plate CXL opposite page 330 where it is stated "A sucrier and stand of high translucent Swansea china from Miss Aline Heneage`s service".It also states work often assigned to William Weston Young but probably by a regular Swansea factory hand. Decorated with examples of Laburnum, Glaucous Kalmia and Chinese Ixia. The stand no longer available. A rare piece of Swansea history, hairline to body Circa 1815 £ 1450.00
