A rare pair of Nantgarw porcelain shell dishes from a service on display at the National Museum of Wales Cardiff. These dishes are unusually decorated with a garland of fruit and flowers and superb raised honey gilding. A plate with a similar green ground and floral decoration is illustrated in Nantgarw Porcelain by W D John illustration 45 where Mortlocks the leading dealers in porcelain and pottery in London, described the service as unequaled by any other house. In excellent condition. Circa 1818-20 SOLD One dish impressed Nantgarw c.w £ 4250.00
