A very rare Nantgarw porcelain plate decorated by Thomas Pardoe. 8 1/ inch approx. Decoration in this style proved contentious in the past with collectors unsure if Thomas or his son William Henry Pardoe decorated them. The marbling on the plinth that Thomas Pardoe is well known for, the fine gilding and the insects in the decoration sets this plate apart from others decorated in this manner and supports the attribution of Thomas Pardoes work The plate bears a rare mark Nant-gaRW cw X In good condition with minor wear to gilding Circa 1821 £ 950.00
