Will Roberts was a fellow of the Royal Cambrian Academy. In 1962, Roberts won the Byng-Stamper Prize for landscape painting, judged by Sir Kenneth Clark, for 'Farm at Cimla' which was acquired by the National Museum of Wales, firmly establishing him as one of the leading artists in Wales. In 1954 Roberts was given his first one man show in Cork Street, London at Rowland, Browse and Delbanco, having exhibited there in the previous season alongside Chagall, Permeke, Matisse, Modigliani and Graham Sutherland. This oil on Canvas 30x23 inches titled to the back" Summer late evening at the farm" and dated 1980. It is of a scene showing a farmer ( Stephens) at Tyn Y Waun Farm Cimla It bears an old label Attic Gallery Wind Street Swansea SOLD £ 3450.00
