A Rare Swansea Pottery plate. Details of this pattern are given in Swansea blue & white pottery by P. D. Pryce & S.H. Williams page 15, the pattern is illustrated figure 47. They go on to state " A rare and interesting design is shown on the mug in figure 47. The pattern itself originated in the Haynes & Dillwyn period, and now reappears printed in a vivid blue and accompanied with the transfer mark Improved Saxon Blue, Dillwyn & Co. A copper plate with this design is preserved in the Swansea Museum" Unmarked SOLD		£ 225.00
