Early B B & I Pottery Plate Stylised Flowers Pattern SOLD
This early Glamorgan Pottery plate is well illustrated on page 43, in her work on the Glamorgan Pottery. Helen Hallesy writes " This is one of the earliest Glamorgan transfers and is very reminiscent of prints used by 18th century English porcelain factories such as Worcester, Caughley and Liverpool etc. It is usually found on lightly potted pearlware of exceptional quality, in blue only" There is not much left for me to say other than it is in excellent condition with a bright glaze and bears the first Impressed mark used at the Glamorgan Pottery Circa 1814 SOLD
