Butter tub or dish, a similar butter tub dated 1908 is illustrated in Gwyneth and Ieuan R Evans new edition of Ewenny Potteries, Potters & Pots, page 99 described as follows Of shallow form Sgraffito decoration to resemble the traditional wooden butter tub. the one I have listed is Green and inscribed to the base Clay Pits Pottery. There is a minor chip to the rim as shown in photographs. SOLD		£ 95.00
