A Nantgarw Porcelain coffee cup and saucer locally decorated by William Billingsley, both pieces with applied beading, each bead hand rolled and then individually applied. The cup with the inverted heart handle, the saucer with an unglazed base without a footrim as would be expected. Locally decorated examples of Nantgarw porcelain can be attributed to just a few hands William Billingsley, Thomas and William Henry Pardoe, and William Weston Young. William Billingsleys decoration on Swansea Porcelain includes a Cabaret service which is Illustrated in Swansea Porcelain by W D John illustration 38A showing the same rose on a gilded moss decoration.
