A fine Swansea Porcelain plate decorated with a botanical specimen "Box leaved milk wort" Botanical painting is common on Swansea pottery but much less frequent on Swansea porcelain, this example potted with the desirable duck egg porcelain and decorated with a gilt rim is in fine condition, similar examples can be found in The Pottery and Porcelain of Swansea & Nantgarw by E Morton Nance opposite page 330 Other examples of Swansea botanicals can be found in Welsh Ceramics in context part 11 page 125 b by Jonathan Gray.
