Superb Nantgarw Porcelain soup dish
A superb and rare Nantgarw Porcelain soup dish (9 inch D) from the Nantgarw china works. It would have sent to London to be decorated by one of the finest enamelling shops of the day. The fine decoration and the lavish gilding shows this dish was made for the aristocracy and examples such as this would have been very expensive when purchased. This dish is in excellent condition and the artist has hidden a blemish in manufacture (the beetle) this was not unusual for examples of Nantgarw Porcelain and in all makes for a very desirable item of Welsh Porcelain. In fine condition Circa 1818-20 Impressed Nantgarw c.w		£ 1950.00
