A superb item of Nantgarw Porcelain. This square dish is from a service illustrated in the W D John Nantgarw Album illustration 25 where it gives the following description. This 35-piece Nantgarw dessert service was identified by the authors in an American Art Gallery in 1948 and is of superb quality, being richly ornamented with garden flowers and gilding by London decorators. The quality shown here is the reason Nantgarw Porcelain was the most desirable of all Porcelains during the Regency period. It was presented to the Art gallery in 1940 as the gift of Mrs. Mary G Ellis as part of the Theodore and Mary Ellis Collection IN THE WORCESTER ART GALLERY, MASSACHUSETTS, U S A. This dish is in excellent unrestored and undamaged condition, Impressed Nantgarw C W £ 2250.00
